We are seeking a skilled Nursing Educator and Patient Care Specialist to join our team at Genesis HealthCare. In this role, you will be responsible for orienting and educating nursing personnel, ensuring safe and effective nursing care according to established guidelines.
As a key member of our healthcare team, you will develop education programs in response to staff needs, teach staff current accepted patient care and nursing center practices, and supervise new nursing employees throughout their individualized orientation period.
You will also perform annual competency testing and evaluation, clinically appraise nursing staff performance to identify areas for education, and provide oversight to the Employee Health Program.
Key Responsibilities- Orient and educate nursing personnel on safe and effective nursing care practices
- Develop education programs to address staff needs and promote best practices
- Supervise new nursing employees during their orientation period
- Perform annual competency testing and evaluation to ensure high-quality care
- Provide oversight to the Employee Health Program

To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A graduate degree from an accredited School of Nursing with current RN license
- Minimum three years full-time or equivalent clinical experience preferred
- Two years of clinical experience in long-term care nursing with one year as an educator preferred
- Excellence in clinical nursing skills required
- Experience in Gerontology preferred
- Training and/or experience in adult learning preferred
