COMPENSATION DETAILS:

The provided pay range is not indicative of Sysco's actual pay range but serves as a general comparison. Factors influencing pay may include specific skills, work location, experience, and other individualized elements.

$18.00/hour Mon-Fri, occasional Saturday 4:30pm until completion

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage in boxing and scanning tasks.
  • Support machine operators in the efficient operation of machinery and processing orders (apprentice-level assistance).

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Ability to adapt to sudden changes in customer demands or operational objectives.
  • Dedication to completing assigned tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork capabilities.
  • Detail-oriented and results-driven.
  • Customer service-focused.
  • Ability to operate machinery safely, including some heavy lifting.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods, perform twisting motions, and read tickets and special requests.
  • Familiarity with recognizing various cuts of meat and basic math skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cold, and wet environment.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Regular heavy lifting is required.
  • Standing, walking, and reaching are common activities.
  • Manual dexterity is necessary for operating various processing and material handling equipment.
  • Ability to detect spoilage and quality through smell is essential.
  • Work will be conducted in refrigerated processing and warehouse areas, which are cold and wet, with exposure to moving machinery and sharp surfaces.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
