Key Responsibilities

As a Peer Recovery Specialist, the successful candidate will assist in performing danger assessments, crisis assessments, environmental assessments, and lethality assessments. They will also perform on-scene assessments and treatment plans, effectively intervene in crises, and design referral recommendations using available community resources.

The ideal candidate will address a population of diverse individuals, including children, adolescents, adults, dual-diagnosis, co-occurring, and elderly populations. They will work with families and involved persons to de-escalate situations, create crisis plans, and encourage cooperation with recommended treatments. Furthermore, they will document interactions using CRS procedures and maintain awareness of first responder culture and police codes.
