Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company. As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing software applications to control automated material handling equipment for use within manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software applications to control automated material handling equipment.
  • Perform in-house testing with software and hardware emulators.
  • Create operator and administrator training manuals and materials.
  • Install systems at customer's site and perform on-site integration with automated equipment.
  • Train operators.
  • Provide ongoing support, including after-hours support on a rotational basis.
  • Assume project management responsibilities.
  • Lead and direct the work of other software developers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of four years in application development in the Windows Operating System environment and Visual Basic, C/C++ programming languages.
  • Oracle or SQL Server Database experience.
  • Experience with automated material handling systems is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel.
Travel Requirements

This position requires 25-40% travel, including domestic and international. A valid driver's license and good driving record are required.
