Job Summary

Ad-vance Talent Solutions is seeking a skilled Traffic Maintenance Specialist II to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the fabrication, installation, and repair of traffic control signs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fabrication and Installation: Erection of new signs and repair or replacement of damaged signs as needed.
  • Sign Maintenance: Perform all field maintenance, repair, and new installation of traffic signs throughout the city.
  • Sign Layout and Lettering: Layout and hand letter special signs.
  • Sign Repair and Replacement: Repair or replace damaged signs and bent posts.
  • Detour and Work Zone Signing: Install and remove detours and work zone signing and flag traffic when required.
  • Sight Obstruction Clearance: Trim shrubbery that causes sight obstructions at intersections or obstructs traffic control signs.
  • Field Data Collection: Input field data to collector tablet for sign inventory.
  • Roadway Marking Application: Perform applications, layouts, and removals of roadway markings on local streets in accordance with MUTCD guidelines.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency call-outs on critical sign replacements and emergency road closures.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalent diploma.
  • Experience: One year of signs or markings experience preferred.
  • Certifications: Possession of a valid driver's license and be insurable by the company's current insurance carrier. Possession of Maintenance of Traffic Intermediate Certification within 6 months of employment. Possession of IMSA Signs Level I within 1 year of eligibility. Possession of IMSA Signals Level I within 1 year of employment.
