Overview

As a CT Imaging Specialist at CHI St. Francis Health, you will play a crucial role in obtaining high-quality diagnostic images that assist Radiologists in accurately identifying or excluding various medical conditions.

Your daily responsibilities may include conducting a range of imaging procedures such as x-rays, ultrasounds, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT scans, and MRIs, among others. A passion for direct patient interaction is essential, as you significantly contribute to enhancing the patient experience.

Success in this position requires a comprehensive understanding of diagnostic imaging's significance. This encompasses familiarity with the general imaging workflow, effective patient positioning techniques, and the ability to capture precise images for timely and accurate diagnoses.

Responsibilities
  • Efficiently interpret clinical information to meet the radiological needs of patients.
  • Execute thorough and precise imaging techniques for patient positioning in accordance with medical orders.
  • Maintain vigilance in monitoring radiation exposure levels and duration.
  • Consistently apply sterile techniques and uphold safety practices for patients, colleagues, and yourself.
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and confidence in troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining imaging equipment to prevent malfunctions.

Qualifications

Required

Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited institution.

ARRT certification is mandatory.

Capability to perform all aspects of general radiography and fluoroscopy, including emergency and C-arm procedures.

Preferred

Prior experience in Radiologic Technology is advantageous.
