Mainframe Rehosting Specialist

At Tata Consultancy Services, we are seeking a seasoned Mainframe Rehosting Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a proven track record in mainframe rehosting projects.

**Overview:**
Mainframe rehosting involves migrating legacy applications from mainframe systems to modern platforms, enabling organizations to leverage the benefits of cloud computing, improve scalability, and enhance business agility. As a Mainframe Rehosting Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving this transformation by leading assessment, design, and implementation efforts.

**Salary Range:** $120,000 - $160,000 per annum

**Job Description:**
You will be responsible for:
• Assessing client mainframe applications and recommending optimal rehosting strategies
• Designing and implementing target state architectures for rehosted applications
• Collaborating with clients to develop and implement migration plans
• Ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and infrastructure
• Leading a team of consultants in modernization/transformation assessments

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
• At least 12 to 15 years of relevant IT experience in mainframe technology (batch and online applications)
• Hands-on experience in mainframe rehost projects with rehost tools (e.g., Microfocus, Raincode, Tmaxsoft)
• Expertise in effort estimation in mainframe rehost projects
• Proficiency in designing and developing CICS/IMS-DC, COBOL, Assembler, PL/1
• Knowledge of current industry trends in modernization
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Exposure to Agile and DevOps concepts, tools, and methodologies
• Familiarity with Cloud, ESB, RDBMS concepts, and middleware technologies
