Role Overview

  • Collaborate with orthotic practitioners to assess patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Perform fittings of orthotic devices, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal fit and medical efficacy.
  • Evaluate device performance on patients, providing expert feedback to improve outcomes.
  • Deliver exceptional patient care, instructing patients on device usage and addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Support clinical staff with documentation, outcomes measures, and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Secure insurance authorizations and financial documentation, ensuring seamless patient care.
  • Provide patient care at various locations, utilizing personal vehicle and adhering to company policies.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training, staying up-to-date on industry developments and compliance regulations.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment, supporting colleagues and contributing to the success of Ottobock.

Requirements

  • Ability to assess patient conditions and recommend evidence-based treatments.
  • Knowledge of orthotic evaluation and casting techniques, with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organizational and time management abilities, with a focus on prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy, with a strong understanding of orthotic and prosthetic principles.
  • Certification in Orthotic Fitting or Pedorthics, with a minimum of three years of experience in Orthotics and Prosthetics.
