Job Description

This exciting opportunity offers a variable schedule with flexible work arrangements and remote work options. As a Healthcare Professional, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in a safe and compassionate manner. Your duties will include observing, documenting, and communicating patient needs and status changes to the healthcare team. You will also assist with nursing practice interventions and provide emotional support, education, and guidance to patients during their hospital stay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide basic patient care, including activities of daily living
  • Aid the patient care team in collecting patient data and specimens, reporting irregularities to the primary nurse
  • Obtain urine, stool, and sputum specimens and process them accordingly
  • Record health, weights, vital signs, pulse oximetry, and pain levels, as well as input/output (I&O) information
  • Communicate patient status and report changes in patient condition to licensed professionals
  • Perform designated patient care procedures, explain them to patients, and transport patients as needed
  • Prep patients for diagnostic tests, answer telephone calls promptly using excellent customer service skills, and respond to patient call lights
  • Assist with vaccine administrations, maintain and clean equipment, and communicate patient and family requests to appropriate personnel

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, be currently enrolled in an ASN or BSN program, and have completed one adult care clinical rotation. Additionally, candidates must obtain AHA BLS-HCP certification within 90 days of hire and maintain it throughout their employment. They must also successfully complete orientation and competency validation for the position.
