Adelphi Medical Staffing is seeking a qualified Mental Health Counselor to provide individualized personal counseling to students at an institution of higher learning in Oregon.
Key Responsibilities- Provide brief therapy to enrolled students facing personal or academic difficulties related to emotional, mental, relational, or substance abuse challenges.
- Equip students with skills and resources to improve their mental health and enhance their academic success.
- Deliver educational outreach, workshops, and programs to students as time and demand allow.
- Collect and report data on the nature of counseling appointments, the number of students served, the frequency of visits, and other agreed-upon metrics.
- Coordinate student appointments and maintain confidential individual client records in line with best practices.
- Current State of Oregon license as a Qualified Mental Health Professional.
- Not less than three (3) years of successful experience providing personal mental health and counseling to adults aged 17 and older.
- Demonstrate a reasonable knowledge of the higher education environment and the stresses typically experienced by students.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff. A strong understanding of the higher education environment and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances are essential.
