The Operating Room at Highland Hospital provides a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative environment. Our facility features 15 state-of-the-art operating rooms equipped with cutting-edge technology, where a variety of surgical procedures are performed daily. Surgical Technologists play a crucial role in the operating room, utilizing their professional judgment and critical thinking skills to ensure optimal patient care.
Work Schedule: Full-time day/evening rotation, Monday through Friday, with on-call responsibilities for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Role Responsibilities:
The Surgical Technologist is an integral member of the surgical team, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, and other surgical staff to deliver high-quality patient care. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing the operating room and ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are available.
- Assisting during surgical procedures by providing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Monitoring patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
Compensation: Pay range starts at $32.11 per hour.
*The stated pay range reflects the minimum and maximum compensation for this position. Individual salaries will be determined based on various factors, including market data, education, experience, and qualifications.
Qualifications:
- Education: Completion of a nationally accredited surgical technology program and possession of a certified surgical technologist credential from a recognized organization (e.g., National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting).
- Certification: Current American Heart Association BLS CPR Certification required.
- Skills: Proficiency in aseptic technique and comprehensive knowledge of surgical instruments is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations are essential.
