Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to join our Global Sales IT team as a Senior Software Development Engineer. This role will provide technical leadership for a 6-7 person development squad, lead the design/build solutions, and direct the production support for our portfolio Sales solutions, including contracting & incentive platforms, Corporate Direct Booking solutions, and B2B platforms with self-service tools for the Corporate and Travel Agency community.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with and lead other product team members (UX, architects, and product management) to create secure, reliable, scalable software solutions
Write custom code or scripts to automate infrastructure, monitoring services, test cases, to ensure adequate resiliency in production
Identify unsecured code areas and implement fixes as they are discovered with or without tooling
Identify, implement, and share technical solutions that can be used across the portfolio
Research and/or investigate technical issues impacting the organization and recommend solutions
Provide application support for software running in production
Triage high priority issues and outages as they arise
Proactively review the Performance and Capacity of all aspects of production: code, infrastructure, data, and message processing

Requirements

Expert in Functional Programming approaches, preferably in Java
Deep familiarity with building integrations between AWS and other platforms, such as Salesforce, using Apex REST APIs or other integration ETL tools such as GLUE and AirFlow.
Experience in cloud-native development, RESTful APIs, and stateless microservices architectures
Experience in Jboss, Websphere, AWS with background in API, Microservices development.
Expertise in AWS services like Lambdas, S3, SQS, SNS, EC2, Code Pipeline, Athena, DynamoDB, RDS databases
Experience working with containers, and managed container orchestrators (Kubernetes/OpenShift) in the cloud (For example AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service, Azure Kubernetes Service, Red Hat OpenShift)
Cloud-native development in the Spring/Spring Boot ecosystem and strong working knowledge of developing and deploying applications in major cloud providers (AWS or Azure)
Experience in CI/CD and DevOps practices; with tools such as Git/Gitlab, Jira/VersionOne/Agility, Jenkins/Tekton, Gradle, Ansible
Able to independently create and maintain automation test jobs and execute as part of a CI/CD pipeline.
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and virtual networks from a cloud point of view
Experience debugging components and code built by other developers.
Ability to clearly communicate and coordinate with peers, product owners, and cross functional teams and design a relevant and time to market solution.
Must have the ability to listen to customers and colleagues; convey ideas effectively; prepare written documentation
Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills; individual should be able to resolve problems in a calm and quick manner and display a high degree of initiative and drive.
Ability to quickly pick up expertise in technologies.
Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or related field is preferred.
Experience in development of Lightening Web Components, with additional 2 or more years of Visual force, and/or Apex experience
Experienced with integration of Salesforce TCRM (tableau CRMA) design, development, and integration with Experience Cloud implementations
