Job Title: Construction Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Construction Technician to join our team at the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification. As a Construction Technician, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to construction and restoration, including cutting, shaping, and smoothing lumber and other materials, building window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings, and inspecting places and conducting repairs or maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general carpentry tasks, including cutting, shaping, and smoothing lumber and other materials.
  • Build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings using raw materials or pre-constructed items.
  • Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance as needed.
  • Build scaffolding and other construction structures as required.
  • Work as part of a team and follow directions from supervisors.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a carpenter or in a related field.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times.

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies:

  • Physical strength and stamina to complete physically demanding work.
  • Ability to operate basic tools, such as saws, drills, and measuring tape.
  • Basic math skills.
