Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital - Arlington. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing all facility equipment to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair all facility equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and take corrective action to prevent equipment failure.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and provide excellent customer service.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3-6 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Accredited HVACR license preferred.
  • At least one year of hospital or healthcare facility experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Good working knowledge of repair and maintenance of equipment found in a hospital setting.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Good working knowledge of computers and basic computer use.
  • Good aural activity to detect malfunctions of equipment.
  • Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
