Job Title: Corrections RN

Job Summary:

The Corrections RN will provide comprehensive medical care to inmates at the Duchesne County Jail, working under the guidance of the Medical Contract Services and jail administration. This role requires a strong understanding of security requirements and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and address the medical needs of inmates, providing care that meets the highest standards of quality and compassion.
  • Collaborate with the contracted medical providers and jail administration to ensure seamless delivery of medical services.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each inmate.
  • Provide education and support to inmates on health-related topics, promoting healthy behaviors and outcomes.
  • Respond to emergency situations, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills to ensure the safety and well-being of inmates and staff.

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure and certification in corrections or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.

Working Conditions:
