We are seeking a skilled Electronics Calibration Specialist to join our team at Aerotek. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, calibrating, and repairing testing instruments, as well as maintaining accurate documentation of all service processes.
Key Responsibilities- Calibration and Repair: Perform routine calibration of electronic and fiber optic test equipment, diagnose faults, and repair fiber optic fusion splicing equipment.
- Documentation and Logging: Maintain meticulous documentation of all work performed on customer equipment, including logging each process stage in our RMA system.
- Customer Service: Efficiently handle customer products in the service department, prepare estimates for service quotes and invoices, and ensure all test and calibration equipment is up to date as per quality systems.
- Technical Expertise: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our company's products, troubleshoot and repair component level surface mount and conventional PCB assemblies, and troubleshoot and repair fiber optic assemblies.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all activities comply with our Quality Management System (QMS) and perform other tasks as required.
- Electronics Certification: Electronics certification preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience with electronic equipment or instruments, 3+ years of experience in repair and calibration of electronic equipment or instruments, and experience in troubleshooting and calibration.
- Skills: Fiber Optics Experience preferred, experience troubleshooting and repairing to the component level, computer skills, efficiency in handling customer products, strong communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration.
