Role Overview:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Liberty HomeCare, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality nursing services within a supportive environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the management of nursing services for designated units, adhering to the Nursing Practice Act under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.

  • Delegating tasks to both professional and non-professional nursing staff while supervising their performance.

  • Monitoring patients for any signs of adverse changes in their physical or mental health.

  • Facilitating communication with attending physicians regarding emergencies and patient status changes, implementing orders as directed.

  • Carrying out additional responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Possession of a current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing, with proof of renewal submitted biennially.
  • Willingness to assume charge nurse responsibilities and provide coverage during emergencies.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional nursing care, following physician directives, and a strong interest in geriatric care.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Participation in ongoing training and staff meetings as required.
