Job Summary

SSM Health is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist PRN to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography procedures to diagnose and treat various medical conditions.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Prepare and position patients for computed tomography procedures, ensuring accurate and safe imaging.
  • Operate computed tomography equipment, selecting appropriate technical parameters and protocols to achieve high-quality images.
  • Administer contrast media and medications as required, adhering to established protocols and regulations.
  • Monitor patient safety and well-being during procedures, reporting any abnormalities or concerns.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques, participating in ongoing education and training.
Education and Experience
  • Completion of a radiologic technology program or equivalent experience.
  • One year of experience in computed tomography or related field.
Physical Requirements
  • Constant standing and walking during procedures.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for accurate imaging.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to communicate with patients and colleagues.
  • Frequent lifting and moving of patients, as needed.
Professional Certifications
  • ARRT-R (Radiography) certification or equivalent.
  • ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography) certification or equivalent.
