Culinary Support Staff at North Campus with Retention Incentive

The Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation is on the lookout for Culinary and Nutrition Support Staff to join our team at various school locations for flexible shifts ranging from 3 to 5 hours.
- Retention incentive available
New Employee Incentive: Newly hired staff will receive a financial incentive after completing 90 days of service, which will be maintained throughout the academic year.
Employee Retention Bonus Program: Staff members will be eligible for two annual bonuses based on their tenure within the Culinary and Nutrition Department.
- Support staff will operate under the guidance of Cafeteria Managers
- Position offers 40 weeks of employment per year
- Shifts available from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
- Paid holidays and snow days included
- No previous experience required
Hourly Compensation:
0 - $11.44
1 - $11.96
2 - $12.48
3 - $13.00
4 - $13.52
5 - $14.04
6 - $14.56
7 - $15.08
8 - $15.60
9 - $16.12
10 - $16.64
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation and inventory management
- Serve meals to students and staff
- Ensure cleanliness in work areas and kitchen equipment
- Set up and dismantle serving lines
- Operate kitchen machinery and manage cash transactions
- No supervisory duties involved
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in food preparation preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
Physical Requirements:
The role necessitates standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating kitchen equipment.
Work Environment:
Work conditions may include temperature fluctuations, slippery surfaces, and elevated noise levels.
