Medical Care Coordinator

At Mercy, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare patients for visits by completing advanced standard room processes, including vital signs, medication reconciliation, and documentation in Epic.
- Assist with in-office testing, including drawing blood, mental status exams, EKGs, and point-of-care testing.
- Administer vaccines and injections within scope of practice.
- Schedule follow-up appointments and collaborate with providers to monitor and coordinate care plans.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
- Preferred experience: 6 months of clinical healthcare experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA) and obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
- Tuition Reimbursement up to $2,000 for continuing education.
