Job Summary:

The Lead Rental Associate will assist the Rentals Services Manager and Group Fulfillment Center Rental Supervisor in maintaining shop integrity and ensuring efficient daily operations. This role involves supervising up to ten employees, delegating tasks, and contributing to group fittings. They will also help in other rental locations when needed and follow all Winter Park policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a friendly attitude and provide excellent customer service.
  • Select and setup rental equipment for guests, including fitting correct size boots, selecting appropriate size skis or snowboards, adjusting bindings, ensuring forms are correct, instructing guests on equipment use, and utilizing the computerized rental system.
  • Perform ongoing maintenance and upkeep of rental equipment, including cleaning and repairing boots, inspecting bindings, and repairing pole baskets and grips.
  • Conduct mandatory ASTM inspections and testing of rental equipment.
  • Comply with risk management and indemnification procedures, as well as other rental shop practices and procedures.
  • Know all products, services, and prices offered in the rental shop and be familiar with resort offerings.
  • Foster teamwork and cooperation within the rental shop and the resort.
  • Assist in facilitating rental fittings for adult and child groups, including outreach programs, faith-based groups, corporate, and social groups.
  • Perform upkeep and maintenance in the rental shop and on tools and machinery as needed.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized shop environment.
  • Perform other duties assigned by rental shop managers and supervisors.
This role requires a strong focus on providing an exceptional guest experience and ensuring the smooth operation of the rental shop. With a salary range of $20-$21.50 per hour, this position offers a competitive compensation package.
