Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team at University of Utah Health. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing in-depth financial reporting, operational reporting, and outcome analysis. You will also assist with market analysis and budget development, working closely with our leadership team to devise and implement marketing strategies and tactics to expand market adoption of product lines.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in a multidisciplinary team across multiple locations to support new product development and maintain effective collaborative working relationships with internal and external clients, business partners, and vendors.
  • Support the attainment of established milestones and adhere to predetermined time lines for projects.
  • Work with the leadership team to devise and implement marketing strategies and tactics to expand market adoption of product lines.
  • Provide data and financial analysis to clinical program, hospital, and health sciences management, and leadership.
  • Perform program and operations analysis on cost, reimbursement, profitability of service lines, programs, and procedures.
  • Analyze and audit cost data, patient-level financial data, and other statistics.
  • Implement and potentially lead performance improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation and evaluation of special projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Four years of experience in a similar position.
  • Leadership qualities, contract negotiations and contract management skills, and experience in establishing working relationships.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands

This is a sedentary position in an office setting that may exert up to 10 pounds and may lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. This position involves sitting most of the time and is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
