Job Summary

UPMC is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join their team. This role requires a strong foundation in radiology and computed tomography, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform imaging procedures at a technical level, requiring independent judgment and initiative.
  • Rotate between two specialties, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Participate in standardization activities with system-level workgroups.
  • Assist with the training of staff and student technologists.
  • Perform quality control activities and maintain a high level of knowledge in diagnostic imaging.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT program.
  • 2 years of experience required in a primary specialty.
  • Must hold a registry in each specialty.
  • Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on the most recent performance review.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances
  • ARRT certified as a CT Technologist with active certification in a second specialty.
  • Must maintain 2 imaging registries/certifications and maintain competency in both as required by the hiring Business Unit.
  • Must be willing and demonstrate flexibility to be assigned to any of the maintained registries by leadership.
