Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Neuropsychologist to join our team at VCU Health - MCV Physicians. As a key member of our Consultation-Liaison Division, you will be responsible for conducting neuropsychological assessments and providing therapy to a diverse adult patient population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Services: Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological assessments and provide evidence-based psychological interventions to patients, families, and caregivers.
  • Teaching and Supervision: Provide guidance and mentorship to postdoctoral psychology fellows, and opportunities to teach psychiatry residents, fellows, and medical students.
  • Scholarship: Engage in scholarly activities, including program evaluation, research, publications, and presentations at national meetings.
  • Service: Participate in university, health system, and departmental committees to enhance and promote the service needs and policy-making functions of the university and medical center.
Requirements
  • PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, School Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology, or Neuropsychology from an APA/CPA-accredited doctoral program and internship.
  • Postdoctoral training in Neuropsychology.
  • Licensed or license-eligible as a Psychologist in Virginia.
  • Experience, competence, and expertise with neuropsychological assessment, psychological and behavioral therapies, family education and support, and behavior management.
  • Experience with education of clinical and counseling doctoral students, interns, and fellows.
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Competence and experience with geriatric patients.
