Job Description

The Maintenance Technician, Production, plays a critical role in supporting manufacturing with equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. This position requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to work autonomously within established guidelines and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a safe and effective working environment by identifying and addressing potential hazards.
  • Support manufacturing with equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on process equipment, including Fillers with integrated Isolators, ATEC processing, Terminal Sterilizer, Parts Washers, Autoclaves, Single-Use Technology, and Aseptic Process Simulations.
  • Participate in FAT, SAT, and other activities with equipment vendors to ensure seamless integration of new equipment.
  • Make recommendations on equipment upgrades and modifications to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Assist with plant safety programs and safety awareness initiatives to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
  • Prepare and update Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks relating to production equipment maintenance needs.
  • Ensure all work carried out and equipment installed is safe, effective, and in compliance with industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a sterile fill finish environment is required.
  • A high school diploma or GED and a minimum of 4+ years of applicable experience in the pharmaceutical industry are necessary.
  • Knowledge of GMP and industry best practices is essential.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and complete all paperwork neatly and correctly.
  • Effective organization skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Basic math skills to perform required calculations are necessary.
  • Visual ability to detect defects is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with ATEC, Terminal Sterilizers, Parts Washers, and Autoclaves is preferred.
  • An Associate's degree in a technical discipline or technical school/Auto Mechanic Program certificate is desirable.
  • Experience in a process improvement environment, including change management, is preferred.
