Job Summary

Harvard Integrations LP is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and adjusting various component parts on units according to drawings and written customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and customer specifications to determine the position of unit component parts.
  • Position components and install fixtures, ensuring accurate and efficient assembly.
  • Inspect products to verify that optional equipment changes have been made according to customer specifications.
  • Clean and prepare building panels and electrical components for assembly.
  • Gather and organize supplies and tools needed to complete jobs.
  • Drill and tap holes to install floor plates and thresholds, ensuring precise measurements.
  • Use grinders to grind knots off floor and panels prior to painting, maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Complete work according to specified schedules and maintain accurate traveler documents.
  • Verify correct paint colors are being used by reading drawings and customer specifications.
  • Assemble units and test them for proper performance using gauges, test lights, hand tools, and related electronic devices.
  • May install windows, door panes, handles, drains, or other accessories, as required.
  • Clean up work areas and return tools and supplies to their designated places each day.
  • Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by management.
Requirements
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Flexibility and ability to work under production pressure.
  • Ability to work in cooperation with other team members.
  • Must be able to stand on feet for long periods, work on knees for extended periods, work on ladders at heights, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in enclosed spaces for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations and measurements.
Desired Skills
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Prior industrial painting experience, auto painting may be suitable experience.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
Educational Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred. Equivalent experience may be acceptable.
