Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Painter Craftsman to join our team at Pemco Corporation. In this role, you will be responsible for applying finishing coats to various products in accordance with blueprints and customer specifications.

About the Role

  • You will set up and maintain work areas, operating painting equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect painted parts for quality and workmanship, ensuring they meet company standards.
  • Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to surfaces using spray guns, adhering to safety procedures.
  • Clean machines, equipment, and work areas using water, solvents, and other cleaning aids.
  • Review and implement work orders and assignments, utilizing time management skills to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in wet painting operations, preferably in an industrial or automotive environment.
  • Quality-conscious and detail-oriented individual with familiarity with painting tools and materials.
  • Familiarity with painting tools and materials is essential.
  • Collaboration and teamwork skills are necessary to achieve project goals.

Physical Demands

  • The ability to stand/walk 95% of the workday.
  • Lifting/carrying up to 100 pounds with assistance of cranes and/or coworkers.
  • Squatting, twisting, reaching, climbing, and bending frequently.
  • Possessing hand/eye coordination and bilateral dexterity (gross and fine).
  • Good color vision and aesthetic instincts.
  • Possessing depth perception and peripheral vision.
  • The ability to hear.

Working Conditions

  • Exposure to hot and cold conditions.
  • Subject to standing on hard surfaces up to 10-12 hours per day.
  • Subject to exposure to dust, vapors, and other air contaminants.
  • PPE required.
  • 3rd shift Sunday-Wednesday, 8pm-6:30am.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per annum, depending on experience.
