Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Summary: We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Veterinary Associate to provide outstanding medical care to our animal patients. The successful candidate will have a deep passion for veterinary science, excellent clinical abilities, and a strong focus on client interaction and education.
Primary Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments, identify health issues, and formulate treatment strategies for various small animal patients.
- Execute and analyze diagnostic procedures, including laboratory tests, imaging studies, and ultrasound examinations.
- Carry out surgical interventions, such as spaying, neutering, and soft tissue operations, with care and expertise.
- Administer vaccinations, preventive treatments, and dental services to enhance long-term health.
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with pet owners about diagnoses, treatment alternatives, and preventive measures.
- Work collaboratively with veterinary technicians and support personnel to ensure superior patient care.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and stay informed about advancements in veterinary medicine.
- Foster a positive and cooperative workplace by actively engaging in team discussions and case reviews.
- Maintain precise and current medical documentation in line with clinic standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid veterinary license in Texas or eligibility to obtain one.
- Prior clinical experience is preferred, although recent graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
- Exceptional communication skills and a sincere dedication to animal welfare.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting and restraining animals as necessary.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with veterinary practices.
