Job Description

Avontix is seeking a skilled Charge Poster to join our team. As a Charge Poster, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely charge capture for our facilities and insurance carriers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data entry of procedure and supply codes for facilities and insurance carriers
  • Collaboration with other departments to resolve charge capture issues
  • Tracking and resolving charges on hold reports
  • Research and resolution of system problems causing delays in charge entry

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in medical billing or a related field
  • Familiarity with working loops and segments
  • Familiarity with common payer rejections
  • Regular use of clearinghouses
  • Experience submitting paper and electronic claims
  • Knowledge of insurance billing concepts
