Hematology Medical Technologist or MLT

We are seeking a highly skilled Hematology Medical Technologist or MLT to join our team at KA Recruiting Inc. in a permanent, full-time capacity.
Key Responsibilities- Perform qualitative and quantitative tests using various lab instruments and/or manual methods on blood, plasma, urine, CSF, stool, and/or body fluids, adhering to standard operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with established standards and practices, including laboratory procedures, hospital procedures, CAP guidelines, JCAHO guidelines, and institutional policies.
- Conduct quality control procedures as needed and established by protocol, analyzing quality control data and taking appropriate action to maintain accuracy and precision.
- Identify abnormal patient results, recognize factors affecting measurements/results, and take appropriate action, seeking assistance as needed.
- Perform and document equipment maintenance, calibration, quality control, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Recognize equipment malfunctions, document problems as required, perform trouble-shooting and repair in accordance with established guidelines, and alert supervisors/ managers/designees as necessary.
- Communicate results to physicians or other authorized healthcare providers as required and/or appropriate, ensuring proper documentation of calls.
- ASCP certification (or equivalent)
- Associate Degree in Science (minimum)
- Previous lab experience preferred, but new graduates will be considered
