Responsibilities:
  • Maintain Cleanliness: This includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming common areas like hallways, laundry rooms, and lobbies. You'll also be responsible for emptying trash cans throughout the property, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Landscaping: Mowing lawns, trimming hedges, edging sidewalks, planting flowers, and removing weeds are all part of the job. You may also need to rake leaves in the fall and shovel snow in the winter (depending on the location).
  • Minor Repairs: You might be asked to fix minor issues like replacing burned-out light bulbs or clogged drains.
  • Trash Removal: Taking out the trash from individual units or dumpsters is a regular chore.
  • Resident Support: Groundskeepers may sometimes be asked to help residents with tasks like carrying groceries or bringing in packages.
  • Issue Reporting: If you see any damaged sidewalks, broken playground equipment, or other maintenance problems, you'll need to report them to the property manager.
