Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist to join our team at Stony Brook University. As a faculty member in our Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, you will have the opportunity to provide educational and programmatic leadership, patient care, teaching, and clinical supervision of trainees in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry.

This is a full-time faculty position that offers the opportunity to develop a subspecialty inpatient or outpatient niche within C-L Psychiatry, as well as opportunities in administrative and educational program leadership. You will work closely with our well-staffed teaching service for residents and students, a Fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, and inpatient specialty liaisons in Hospital Medicine and in Pediatrics.

• Provide educational and programmatic leadership in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry
• Deliver patient care and teaching to residents and students
• Supervise trainees in clinical settings
• Develop and implement educational programs and initiatives
• Contribute to the growth and development of our department

To be considered for this position, you must be a Psychiatrist (MD or DO, or foreign equivalent) with Board Certification/Board Eligibility in Adult Psychiatry and eligibility for New York State licensure. Preferred qualifications include a Fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry or Addiction Psychiatry, or additional boards in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Neurology.
