We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Seasonal Sales Associate to join our team at The Spice and Tea Exchange in historic Downtown Portsmouth. As a Seasonal Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities- Customer Service: Warmly welcome guests into our store, provide a brief store tour, and invite them to explore the flavors by lifting lids and smelling the jars.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain solid, accurate, and current product knowledge for all categories by completing product knowledge training and reading applicable publications as directed.
- Store Appearance: Replenish shelves and displays as needed, note low stock levels as per standard operating procedure, and help maintain store appearance by contributing towards daily chores and cleaning.
- Availability: We are looking for someone to work September through early January, with shifts typically 5-8.5 hours, including a 20 or 30-minute break.
- Availability: Weekend availability is a plus, but not required.
- Skills: Ability to stand for long periods of time, comfortable with computers, using the internet, and printing, and a positive attitude and enjoy working as a team.
- Compensation: $14.00 per hour, plus tips and a $2 shift differential on qualifying shifts.
