Accounting Assistant Role at Guhring Inc

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team at Guhring Inc. As an Accounting Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our accounting team with daily operations and gain hands-on experience in various accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Help with the reconciliation of accounts and general ledger entries, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Support the accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax documents and financial audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide support for special accounting projects and analyses as needed, utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Review and verify the accuracy of financial documents and transactions, ensuring attention to detail and quality.
Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks, with previous experience or coursework in accounting.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.
