Job Summary

As an Optician at Walmart, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our members. You will be responsible for assisting members with purchasing decisions, measuring, adjusting, and repairing frames and lenses, and completing eyewear/contact lens orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, and assisting with purchasing decisions.
  • Measure, adjust, and repair frames and lenses to ensure a proper fit.
  • Complete eyewear/contact lens orders and ensure accurate processing.
  • Identify and verify prescription information and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Operate hardware such as cash registers or related equipment and process member purchases.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register.
