WellStar Medical Group is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Radiation Oncology team. The position offers a structured schedule of Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.
This role primarily involves engaging with patients in a clinical environment and providing support for inpatient consultations during operational hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather patient medical histories, perform comprehensive physical assessments, and document findings in the patient's medical records within an outpatient setting. Attention to detail is crucial for clinical duties.
- Assess and manage patient care to ensure the highest quality of treatment.
- Document progress notes and prepare detailed patient evaluations and summaries, highlighting significant clinical findings.
- Formulate care plans aimed at reducing complications and effectively addressing issues as they arise. Implement preventive and alternative treatment options for potential procedural complications.
- Collaborate with the supervising physician to guarantee that all patients receive coordinated and comprehensive care.
Must hold a valid Georgia license as an Advanced Practice Provider. Only Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants will be considered. Prior experience in oncology or radiation oncology is preferred.
