Lactation Consultant RN

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse Lactation Consultant to join our team at Kaleida Health. As a key member of our Obstetrical Department, you will provide direct patient care and support to breastfeeding mothers and their infants.

• Deliver high-quality patient care utilizing the Nursing Process to patients with obstetrical and neonatal health needs.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and provide direction to non-licensed personnel.
• Apply professional knowledge of the breastfeeding process, antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum healthcare, as well as psychosocial issues.
• Provide education and consultation to staff, patients, and family members on breastfeeding care and principles.

• Graduate of an accredited program in nursing.
• American Heart Association-Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing or Specialty certification required.
• 1 year of experience in an RN position in Mother Baby, Lactation, NICU, or Labor & Delivery within the past 3 years.
• IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) or CLC (Certified Lactation Counselor) certification preferred.

• Competitive salary range: $43.77-$56.01 per hour.
• Part-time position with 36 bi-weekly hours.
• Nights shift with scheduled work hours from 6:45p-7:15a.
• Sign-on bonus eligible.
