We are seeking an experienced Family Medical Physician to join our team at the Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital (WRCH). As a key member of our medical staff, you will provide comprehensive medical support to patients, collaborating with psychiatrists and other clinicians to deliver high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership, supervision, and direction to the medical staff and clinic staff.
- Ensure continuous medical coverage by participating in medical staff schedules.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and other clinicians to deliver comprehensive and continuous patient care, including diagnosis, management, and appropriate referrals.
- Oversee and provide emergency medical services to employees.
- Review and revise policies, develop practice guidelines, and implement disease management protocols to improve clinical care.
- Develop and monitor Quality Assurance (QA) indicators to meet regulatory requirements and participate in the hospital-wide performance improvement process.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid registration as a physician under the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine.
- Thorough knowledge of clinical medicine based on experience and training.
- Ability to identify and respond to emergency situations throughout the campus.
- Capacity to refer patients/staff to appropriate facilities as needed.
- Experience working effectively with patients with chronic illness.
- Knowledge of recovery-oriented practices and person-centered approaches.
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a medical setting.
- Knowledge and understanding of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality improvement processes.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to provide comprehensive patient care and make informed medical decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate with patients and staff.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other relevant medical software.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on advancements in medical practices and evidence-based medicine.
- Proficient usage of Microsoft Office products including Word, Teams, and Outlook.
- Given the population served, bilingual or multilingual fluency.
- Prior experience with the adolescent population.
