Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. as a Rad Tech Reg, FT Evenings. This is an entry-level position that requires a graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in providing safe, age-appropriate care to patients by performing exams according to department procedures.
  • Operate radiographic equipment in a safe and competent manner, ensuring proper calibration and maintenance.
  • Obtain complete clinical history, gather examination data, and assess for contraindicating conditions.
  • Follow established procedures for the administration of contrast media and ensure proper patient identification and right/left marker usage.
  • Review radiographic images for clinically acceptable results and release patients.
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide for the restocking of the crash cart and maintenance of life support equipment.
  • Assist other technologists in all modalities when needed.
  • Verify two unique patient identifiers and correct clinical order prior to performing a procedure.
  • Ensure patient privacy and comfort are accommodated.
  • Organize schedule, time, and priorities to accomplish required activities within designated time frames.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT Radiography certification.
  • Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor certification.
  • Ability to transfer/retrieve images on the PACS system.
