Job Summary:

Restore Therapy Services is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest degree of quality care is maintained while providing therapy services to patients and supervising therapy assistants in the performance of therapy services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patient's functional status, identifying equipment needs and participating in the development of the total plan of care.
• Develop treatment programs and establish goals for improved function, communicating plans of care to referring physicians and other company professionals.
• Teach new skills or retrain patients in once familiar daily activities lost due to illness or injury, fabricating splints and instructing patients in the use of adaptive equipment to improve function.
• Train patients in the use of prosthetic and/or orthotic devices, maintaining appropriate clinical records and reporting changes in patient condition to physicians.
• Maintain contact/communication with other personnel involved in patient care to promote coordinated, efficient care, attending and contributing to in-services, case conferences, and other meetings as required.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association, holding a current and valid therapy license in the state employed.
• Familiarity with general use and functions of the computer, including starting programs, using files, apps, and navigating screens, with experience with Apple iPads and iPods a plus.
• Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills, with the ability to perform the job functions of this position with or without accommodation.
