Palo Alto Commons is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our residential facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain all residential apartments, common areas, and offices, including floors, walls, ceilings, windows, and fixtures.
  • Empty trash and recyclables, and replace liners in trash receptacles.
  • Restock supplies and cleaning materials as needed.
  • Perform laundry duties, including washing, drying, and folding resident laundry.
  • Operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and mops.
  • Report any maintenance or repair issues to the Maintenance Director or Executive Director.
  • Follow established infection control and universal precautions practices when performing housekeeping procedures.
  • Participate in scheduled in-services and attend meetings as required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
