Job Summary

We're looking for a highly skilled Project Engineer II to support our efforts in developing and implementing market-transforming programs and initiatives that promote energy efficiency, renewable energy, and decarbonization. As a key member of our team, you'll work collaboratively with clients and colleagues to provide engineering support for projects that encourage energy transformation.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and review calculations and assumptions used to estimate or measure energy demand
  • Develop technical reports that summarize project scope, calculation methodologies, key assumptions, and recommendations
  • Conduct project fieldwork and energy analysis using standard resources and templates and custom tool development
  • Work on a variety of energy calculations, strategies, and projects
  • Deliver high-quality reports and calculations requiring minimal internal review efforts
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and client expectations
  • Provide technical assistance to customers, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Analyze large data sets to validate baseline and future energy demand
  • Keep managers aware of project schedules and progress and provide regular time charging/budget updates as requested
  • Conduct on-site meetings and presentations and provide answers to technical and program-related questions
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, Energy) or related field
  • Master's degree in Energy or 2-5 years of experience with energy analysis, energy modeling, and technical report writing
  • Experience in electrification and energy efficiency recommendations, including measures such as heat pump installations, HVAC upgrades and controls, lighting retrofits and controls, envelope improvements, motor replacement and controls, and refrigeration systems
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to set priorities, collect and document project requirements, successfully handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Desire to be a quick and eager learner of new material and think holistically through complex problems, with technical and non-technical components
  • Problem-solving ability with a proactive and collaborative style that works well in teams
  • Exceptional organizational, time-management, and planning skills
  • Aptitude for communicating (written and oral) technical and program concepts to clients, contractors, consumers, and other interested people or organizations
