Job Title: Direct Support Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at MV Advancements. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing daily support and care to our residents, including assisting with daily living activities, managing household tasks, and promoting independence and self-advocacy. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily support and care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Encourage and support residents in their daily routines, including personal care, medication management, and recreational activities.
  • Assist residents in developing and maintaining their independence and self-advocacy skills.
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs and goals of each resident.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as person-centered care, disability support, and crisis management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
