CT Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CT Technologist to join our team at Denver Health. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing computed tomographic examinations at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. You will work under the direction of a radiologist to select specific software parameters that will produce a quality image for use by radiologists in their determination of a diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform high-quality CT imaging studies by selecting specific software parameters that will produce a quality image for use by radiologists in their determination of a diagnosis.
- Prepare and administer contrast media for patient examinations according to radiologists' direction.
- Operate PACS applications to include archiving activities, image auto-routing, and pre-fetching tasks, image quality assurance, and other related activities.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and personal dignity by following appropriate patient care guidelines.
- Verify the physician order and relevant patient's history in the medical chart.
- Consult with the relevant radiologist to obtain a written imaging study protocol prior to performance of a CT examination.
- Scan all relevant clinical information into the PACS, assign prioritization box for the radiologists' work list, and then transmit current (and comparison images, when applicable) to the PACS.
- Assist in the maintenance of department inventory by ordering, stocking, and performing inventory checks on those medical supplies utilized when performing CT examinations.
- Maintain imaging and processing equipment by performing scheduled cleanings and tests; results of all cleanings and tests are documented, as appropriate.
- Associate's Degree Required
- 1 year of professional work experience in performing radiographic procedures, including 6 months experience in undertaking CT imaging studies.
- BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association Required
- RTR-RT Radiography - ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Required
