**Job Summary**

Southland Employment is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food processing plant's equipment and machinery.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, including troubleshooting and replacement of parts.
  • Inspect and maintain electrical systems, including conduit, 420V, 3-phase, sensors, and PVC work.
  • Operate and maintain mechanical systems, including cutting machinery, punch presses, boilers, conveyors, motors, chillers, and hydraulic systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless production operations.

**Requirements:**

  • 2+ years of experience in HVAC troubleshooting and repair.
  • Experience in residential cooling and heating, automotive refrigeration, air conditioning, and heating.
  • Ability to work in a food production facility and follow good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and good personal hygiene practices.
  • Experience with welding (MIG and stick), PLC robotics (Fanuc and Nachi), and electrical systems (up to 480V, 3-phase motors, AC/DC circuits).
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Post-high school education is desired.
