Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Truck Technician to join our team at Jgpete. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for performing complex diagnostics and repairs on diesel trucks and heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic and Repair: Utilize your mechanical knowledge and hand tools to identify and resolve issues with diesel trucks and heavy equipment.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance tasks, including working on transmissions, air brakes, alignments, hydraulics, suspensions, and HVAC systems.
  • Heavy Equipment Experience: Utilize dealership experience and premium skills to work on a variety of heavy equipment, including excavators, cranes, Caterpillar machinery, forklifts, and farm machinery.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service while servicing vehicles, demonstrating strong communication skills.
  • Physical Demands: Handle heavy lifting tasks as needed and perform tire services, welding, and soldering when required.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain industrial equipment efficiently, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standards.
  • CDL and Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license and CDL to operate vehicles, including Caterpillar machinery.
  • Computer Skills: Utilize computer skills to access schematics and efficiently diagnose and repair equipment.

  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Experience: 2 years' experience as a general technician in a dealership or related truck service facility

  • Work Environment: Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions
