Position Overview

We are in search of an Exceptional Needs Educator to join our dedicated team at ProCare Therapy. This role involves working closely with a diverse group of students who require specialized educational support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for crafting and executing tailored educational plans for students in grades 6 through 12.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Design and implement IEPs that cater to the unique needs of students with disabilities.
  • Instructional Strategies: Employ a variety of teaching methods to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Work in partnership with fellow educators and support personnel to ensure a holistic educational experience.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain precise documentation of student progress and actively participate in parent-teacher discussions.
  • Professional Development: Attend required meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices in special education.
  • Support Staff Guidance: Provide mentorship and assistance to paraprofessionals assigned to the classroom.
  • Policy Adherence: Follow all district regulations and guidelines pertaining to special education services.
Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in special education or a related discipline.
  • Certification: Valid teaching certification in special education or the capability to secure one.
  • Teamwork: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and support staff.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Experience: Prior experience with students with disabilities is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Background Check: Must be able to pass a comprehensive background screening.
