Job Title: Quarry Electrician

We are seeking a highly skilled Quarry Electrician to join our team at Turner Mining Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment and machinery in the limestone quarry.
  • Install, test, and commission new electrical equipment and systems as needed to support quarry operations.
  • Diagnose electrical faults, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while working with electrical systems, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment inspections, repairs, and replacements.
  • Provide timely reports to management on equipment status and performance.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program or technical certification in electrical engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an electrician in an industrial or quarry setting, with demonstrated expertise in electrical maintenance and repair.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing electrical faults in industrial machinery and equipment. Experience with PLCs, motor controls, and variable frequency drives (VFDs) is highly desirable.
  • Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures, with a comprehensive understanding of electrical safety standards and MSHA regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with quarry personnel and other departments to achieve common goals.
  • Capable of performing tasks that require bending, lifting, and working at heights in a physically demanding outdoor environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed to support quarry operations and respond to emergencies.
