We are seeking a Registered Cath Lab Technologist (RCVT) for a travel position.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. Below are the key responsibilities and requirements.

Cath Lab Technologists play a crucial role in assisting medical professionals during complex diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including cardiac catheterization and peripheral vascular interventions. Responsibilities include scrubbing, monitoring, and providing assistance as needed.

As a Cath Lab Technologist, your duties will include:
  • Preparing the cardiac procedure rooms by ensuring all necessary supplies are available and in proper working order, including sterilization of instruments when required.
  • Preparing patients and equipment for procedures by managing the entry site, draping patients, organizing sterilized instruments and catheters, and calibrating pressure transducers and tubing.
  • Operating and maintaining quality control of all equipment used in the cardiac cath lab, with a thorough understanding of all related apparatus.
  • Scrubbing in during procedures and assisting physicians with catheter maneuvers.
  • Collecting and documenting hemodynamic, electrical, and angiographic data through the operation of hemodynamic and electrical amplifiers, as well as digital and line fluoroscopic equipment.
  • Monitoring patients' hemodynamic status throughout procedures in the cardiac cath lab.
  • Engaging in life-saving interventions such as defibrillation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Cath Lab Technologists must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods, as well as bending and stooping without difficulty.

A minimum of 1 year of experience is required. The Cardiovascular Technologist (RCVT) must hold BLS, ACLS, AART and RCIS certification, along with any necessary state-specific licensing.

Requirements: ARRT, BLS, 2 Years

* Additional certifications may be required prior to commencing an assignment.
