Job Overview

This position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing fiber-optic systems to ensure high-speed, reliable connectivity for our clients. You will work in various environments, including commercial and residential settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, splice, terminate, and test fiber-optic cables.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess fiber installation needs and design optimal solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and repair fiber systems, resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime for clients.
  • Use specialized equipment such as OTDRs, power meters, and fusion splicers to ensure system performance.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including diagrams, test results, and system configurations.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience in fiber-optic installation, splicing, and testing.
  • Familiarity with fiber-optic tools and equipment, including OTDRs and fusion splicers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in various environments, including outdoors, at heights, and in confined spaces.
